Rain installation by Stacee Kalmanovsky To replicate the natural phenomenon, she created this installation of beads attached to a fishing line, hung underneath a glass ceiling. It’s as if she froze time, along with the rain drops in mid-air.
Perona from One Piece!
A friend of mine asked me to draw her many months ago and I just got to it now… ha ha. I accidentally painted this with my computer’s brightness super low, but when I turned it up it still looked ok. Just a little brighter and less moody than I intended, ha ha.
Seems I always draw One Piece characters floating.
I first got the script across my collar back in 03’. It writes, “There is a light that never goes out.” This was during the time I was living in Santa Cruz. My awesome friend, Dan Wysuph, did this piece. I’ll never forget that moment when I sat in the chair, and I saw the gun coming at me. Yikes!
Below the script is a glass heart with my favorite flowers surrounding it, sweat peas. I didn’t want the center piece to be symmetrical. I love the imbalance of the flowers. Once again, I turned to Blake Brand. His colors are awesom
These are freaking great! So beautiful. I like to see a new take on chest pieces and hearts, it really brightens up an old cliche.
