this is a horrible thing that never should have happened, but honestly, much of the author’s reputation goes out the window for me when she says she “really hates white people sometimes.” okay, well racism is racism regardless of who it’s against. it’s generalizing, stereotyping, or forming negative opinions about someone based on race. which is what she just did.

Who the hell is this person who read the whole freaking thing and of all the atrocious things that happened to this boy picked one single sentence to comment on. A mild sentence that said the op hates white people SOMETIMES. THAT is what you choose to comment on? Jeezus. What the hell. Ok, I’m going to tell you as a white person who doesn’t have “White Guilt” (because that is a ridiculous self-pitying phrase) that I sometimes hate white people. I hate that white people enforce white supremacy daily without even knowing it while black kids like the one described above feel it every fucking minute.  And you know what? I do have to do with that because I get privileges daily that help me not to have to care about this. I could go through my whole life and just not give a shit because we’re a “post racial society”. So yeah, if you are a white person you are contributing to racism, by picking out the one sentence that is explicitly abotu white people in general to talk about you are contributing to racism. You are telling this woman that all the other stuff is sad yeah, okay it sucks that your brother has been horribly mistreated by the school which has a responsibility to treat him fairly, but to say that you SOMETIMES HATE WHITE PEOPLE is the most noteworthy thing in the entire post and now as a white person you no longer have to pay attention to any of this. That is incredible. That is white supremacy logic gymnastics. Truly.
